Why Kids LOVE Guardian Bikes
With SureStop, there’s only one brake lever, so your kid can’t get confused when things happen fast. Our patented brakes won’t ever flip the bike, and the lever is in just the right place for kid-size hands.
Guardian bikes never have coaster brakes. Period. New riders backpedal to keep their balance. If a bike has coaster brakes, this stops the bike, just when they were getting the hang of it. Our brakes stop faster, with much more control.
Kids don’t just need smaller bikes. They need different bikes. With all the right proportions. They need smaller grips. They need less distance between the pedals. They need shorter crank arms and a low center of gravity. All Guardian bikes are designed for kids, from the ground up.
The low cross bar makes our bikes easy to get on, and a lot safer if your kid comes off their seat in a hurry.
Every Guardian bike seat is both easily adjustable and easy to lock down. You can adjust the height to fit your kid as they grow up with the bike.

Love the bike!
I bought this for my 6.5 year old. I put the seat all the way down and left the pedals on. He started off using it essentially as a balance bike. After a while he told me he would start balancing with one foot on the pedal. Then before I knew it he was pedaling! Rode all the way to the park on the same day he learned to pedal. Other reviewers comments helped me choose which size to choose *and* to decide lower the seat all the way down. Now I have a confident rider! So pleased :)
Worth the hype
I could go on about all of the reasons we chose guardian bikes but I'll try to keep it brief! My son outgrew is 12" balance bike and the next size up at all of the box stores was 16" which was way too big .. especially for young beginners! Guardian has a 14" options which has fit him PERFECTLY. same thing with my 6 year old. She outgrew her 16" but all 20" we could find were just too tall for her, but guardian offers a 20" wheel on a SMALL frame! Which fits her like a glove. Both of my kids are fearless and so confident on these bikes with the perfect fit and sure stop break. I originally had a hard time with the price point when the kids are still growing, but then I discovered that guardian offers 365 days to exchange it Incase of a growth spurt. DONE. My kids are obsessed with their new guardian bikes and it's literally all they want to do. I'm okay with that! Bonus points for cute colors and a solid design. No buyers remorse here!
No regrets -- trust the RideSizer and your gut!
I chose this bicycle after a few weeks of looking into what would be my quite tall 4.5 year old's first "big kid" bike. Using the "RiseSizer" he fell just between the 16" and small 20" size, so I was hesitant on which one to order because it seemed big but didn't want to invest in a bike he would outgrow in a year or less. Out of the box, the bike was incredibly easy to "put together" and get the training wheels on, but through the first 3 or 4 rides, I feared I had sized wrong. After a slight adjustment to the training wheels and some practice (and him getting over some initial frustration), kiddo got on the bike yesterday evening and took right off. It was a moment of pure joy for him, mom, and dad. Everyone is happy with the bike and looking forward to the adventures that await!
