I purchased the bike for my son’s 6th birthday. He was excellent at riding on his Strider but had never mastered pedaling. My parents got him a 16” bike but he was really struggling to pedal it uphill and it seemed to small. After doing the questionnaire, I was recommended getting the small frame 20”. It is perfect! Out of the box and 5 long minutes of assembly, he was off and riding like he’d been doing it for years. He had no trouble pedaling as soon as he sat down on it. He was even riding it up the hills on our long road with no complaints. We absolutely love his bike and I will be buying Guardians for him again as he outgrows them.

I saw this bike advertised online and noted it was advertised as a well balanced bike that will help with learning to ride. I was skeptical when I bought it but my 5 year old has adapted well to the new bike and after 2 hours of practice is ready to ride on her own AND she loves the color scheme and bell. Was an all around win!!

United States20" Small was too small for my 44" son.
The bike is advertised as being the correct size for a 44" child but its way too big for my son who is 44" He will grow into in eventually but its a little frustrating to spend $300 on a bike he cant use. Customer support offered to let me donate it and get a refund but not even a $10 coupon as an apology to buy a 16" bike. Many other reviewers say the same thing about their kid being on the lower end of the height scale for the 20" bike but yet they still continue to advertise it as being the correct height.
