Why Kids LOVE Guardian Bikes
Award Winning SureStop Brake System
With SureStop, there’s only one brake lever, so your kid can’t get confused when things happen fast. Our patented brakes won’t ever flip the bike, and the lever is in just the right place for kid-size hands.
Guardian bikes never have coaster brakes. Period. New riders backpedal to keep their balance. If a bike has coaster brakes, this stops the bike, just when they were getting the hang of it. Our brakes stop faster, with much more control.
Kids don’t just need smaller bikes. They need different bikes. With all the right proportions. They need smaller grips. They need less distance between the pedals. They need shorter crank arms and a low center of gravity. All Guardian bikes are designed for kids, from the ground up.
The low cross bar makes our bikes easy to get on, and a lot safer if your kid comes off their seat in a hurry.
Every Guardian bike seat is both easily adjustable and easy to lock down. You can adjust the height to fit your kid as they grow up with the bike.

Not bad but…
Bike works. It goes well, brakes well. But I think they can invest more on some details. For instance, it has been less than 2 weeks since purchase but I started to notice that chains were making a sound and getting stuck. What happened was the chain guard bended and was getting in the way of the chain (see picture). The chain guard is made of very thin metal, so it bent with light use. We have training wheels, so it is not likely to have fallen hard on a hard surface to cause the bending. Talking about training wheels, they feel cheap and is noisy. I also have training wheels from Trek and these ones feel more flimsy. I’m not sure why, but they also make a lot of noise.
Outstanding customer service and love the bike!
The experience was great all around! This was a birthday gift for our grandson. The thoughtful innovative design - braking system, seat options, fun colors, etc. is ideal for little ones learning to ride a bike. He literally started riding after we presented the bike to him. (Note- it had training wheels but he had a balance bike (not Guardian) that he never liked.) He was very excited about his “big boy” bike! Also, the customer service was outstanding. We had some shipping and delivery issues that was my fault but the service team went above and beyond to make it right. Finally, the assembly videos are really helpful. Thanks to the entire Guardian team!
Awesome bike!
We purchased this bike because the cheap big store bikes were garbage and the riding posture on them is terrible for actually learning. Within 4 hours of having the bike my son went from learning to use it as a balance bike with no pedals to pedaling on his own with no training wheels! He learned how to balance by pushing it around first in a big parking lot and then asked me for the pedals. I put the pedals on and helped him balance while figuring out the pedaling motion. After about an hour of that he just rode away all of a sudden and that was it. He’s been on it every day since then and loves it! Nobody can believe how fast he learned how to ride with it!
Awesome bikes!
Our family loves these bikes!!! We want from none of our kids (ages 8,6, and 4) and dreading any attempts at learning to all 3 loving to ride their bikes and all learning within 30 minutes of getting their Guardian bike:). It is important to get the right size, and recommend going smaller if it's their first without training wheels. I couldn't believe even our 4 year old learned so easy! His coordination skills are still developing with walking/running so thought was a long shot on riding a bike but he picked it up just as easily as his older sisters. Would recommend this bike for any kid trying to learn to ride a bike or just wanting a good quality kids bike:). Was also very easy to put together and service was great when had to change out some handle bar grips!
I really wanted to like this bike
I had high hopes for this bike but ultimately was let down in the end. I put together the bike and started undertaking the teaching process. I was advised by a guardian associate to take a step back andgo to balance bike status but when I went to take off the pedals I have been unable to do so. Harder than advertised to get my little one riding but perhaps I am doing things wrong? Regardless it should be easy to assemble and disassemble for the different modes which hasn’t been so.
