Bike works. It goes well, brakes well. But I think they can invest more on some details. For instance, it has been less than 2 weeks since purchase but I started to notice that chains were making a sound and getting stuck. What happened was the chain guard bended and was getting in the way of the chain (see picture). The chain guard is made of very thin metal, so it bent with light use. We have training wheels, so it is not likely to have fallen hard on a hard surface to cause the bending. Talking about training wheels, they feel cheap and is noisy. I also have training wheels from Trek and these ones feel more flimsy. I’m not sure why, but they also make a lot of noise.

I am very impressed with the craftsmanship, design and innovative break system. For the price this is a no brainer for your little riders. Our youngest was ready to peddle but all the other bikes we came across have coaster breaks. This breaking system is awesome. The only reason for the 4 star review is that I think the gearing could be one higher on the 14". Our son is peddling like a mad man to keep up with the speed.

A quality bike. The bike was well packaged with tools to put it together. The videos provided by the company were excellent and made it easy to assemble. Our grandson loved the bike. We ordered the kit which included a helmet. The helmet however, did not fit our 3 year old grandson's head. Thus, the 4 star. Perhaps measurements for helmets would help.

Overall, the 14” has been a great bike for my son. The transition between his original balance bike and his new pedal bike was smooth. (We didn’t even need to attach the training wheels). Our son is not a big kid so the weight of the bike and adjustable seat are perfect. One reason we choose a Guardian bike is because it came with a kickstand, however the one attached to our bike is useless. It is too long so the bike cannot lean to the side and therefore it just tips over. Not sure how to remedy this issue…
