Why Kids LOVE Guardian Bikes
Lightweight Design Learn more about
Award Winning SureStop Brake System Learn more about
With SureStop, there’s only one brake lever, so your kid can’t get confused when things happen fast. Our patented brakes won’t ever flip the bike, and the lever is in just the right place for kid-size hands.
No Coaster Brake Learn more about
Guardian bikes never have coaster brakes. Period. New riders backpedal to keep their balance. If a bike has coaster brakes, this stops the bike, just when they were getting the hang of it. Our brakes stop faster, with much more control.
Kid-specific Geometry Learn more about
Kids don’t just need smaller bikes. They need different bikes. With all the right proportions. They need smaller grips. They need less distance between the pedals. They need shorter crank arms and a low center of gravity. All Guardian bikes are designed for kids, from the ground up.
Low Step-over Height Learn more about
The low cross bar makes our bikes easy to get on, and a lot safer if your kid comes off their seat in a hurry.
Adjustable Seat Learn more about
Every Guardian bike seat is both easily adjustable and easy to lock down. You can adjust the height to fit your kid as they grow up with the bike.
Eye Candy Decals Learn more about
Our bike colors and designs were developed by kids, for kids, to make our bikes the coolest bikes on the block. Our Guardian 16 Inch Bike line uses water-transfer decals with a clear coat finish, giving the whole bike a polished shine.

New bike
The bike definitely is light, the training wheels don’t rattle like others have on different bikes. Only negative is that there aren’t pedal breaks, so the kids have to learn to break by using their hand break. Kind of bummed we didn’t know that bc we probably would have went with another brand.
Guardian Bikes
Hi, Thanks for the message! Great question. None of our bikes come equipped with a coaster brake because it hinders children as they learn to ride. When kids start to lose their balance, they intuitively pedal backward. If a bike has a coaster brake, this will stop the bike, causing children to lose the momentum they just generated. In the past, parents thought coaster brakes were easier to learn than two hand brakes, but coaster brakes present their own sets of problems. This is why we believe our single-lever SureStop Brake System is the absolute best braking system for children. :) Sam @ Guardian Bikes
Not worth the hype
Bike looks nice but had Issues with getting the breaks to stop sticking which turned my son off of riding it as he gave up and won't try again. I'm hoping he'll try again soon but not sure I'll be able to convince him. Also annoyed that right after purchasing I get code for free lock and pump but had already bought lock.

Nice bike, minus the damage.
The bike itself seems high quality and is what we were expecting, however it was packaged in a way that got a very thick, sticky adhesive on the top of the bike. It looks bad and I still don’t know how I’m going to get it off. There is also a scratch on the frame straight out of the box. Seat also has a tear. The box is in perfect condition so none of this damage happened in transport. This is all on Guardian. I expected better for this price point.

Hi Jeff, Thank you for the photos. It looks like the bike had a rough transit. I am so sorry. You are covered under our warranty. Please send us an email at info@guardianbikes.com. We will take care of you. Sam @ Guardian Bikes
Not super impressed
My bike didn’t come put together as well as I expected. Seat needed to be tightened and there’s like glue that I still need to clean off on it. For the price I would have expected better.
Guardian Bikes
Hi Jennifer! Thanks so much for your feedback about your order! It sounds like the packaging shifted in transit leaving some residue on the stem. We'd be happy to send out a replacement stem or issue a partial refund. As part of the setup of your bike, the seat clamp and seat height will usually need to be adjusted to the right height for your child. If you need any help with that or anything else please let us know! Best, Laura @ Guardian Bikes
Difficult Assembly
Followed initial instructions and found the wheels didn't move at all. I researched the trouble shooting videos and found the brakes needed to be adjusted. We went with training wheels which I understand is not the intended balance method. Wheels were difficult to attach. Finally got them on and realized the chain was slack. Had to take everything off and try to tighten that. I'm still not sure it's correct. I would not recommend this bike.
