16 Inch Original Bike
254So much to love in one bike
SureStop, Easy Reach Brakes
With SureStop, there’s only one brake lever, so your kid can’t get confused when things happen fast. Our patented brakes won’t ever flip the bike, and the lever is in just the right place for kid-size hands.
Ultra-lightweight Design
The Guardian Original is made of ultra-lightweight, aircraft-grade aluminum. It’s exceptionally durable and extremely easy to control, making it both super safe and fun to ride.
Eye Candy Decals
Our bike colors and designs were developed by kids, for kids, to make our bikes the coolest bikes on the block. Our Guardian Originals use a matte black frame with glossy heat-transfer decals, for a popping contrast that will blow your kid’s mind.
Kid-specific Geometry
Kids don’t just need smaller bikes. They need different bikes. With all the right proportions. They need smaller grips. They need less distance between the pedals. They need shorter crank arms and a low center of gravity. All Guardian bikes are designed for kids, from the ground up.
Low Step-over Height
The low top tube makes our bikes easy to get on, and a lot safer if your kid comes off their seat in a hurry.
Adjustable Seat
Every Guardian bike seat is both easily adjustable and easy to lock down. You can adjust the height to fit your kid as they grow up with the bike.
No Coaster Brake
Guardian bikes never have coaster brakes. Period. New riders backpedal to keep their balance. If a bike has coaster brakes, this stops the bike, just when they were getting the hang of it. Our brakes stop faster, with much more control.
Smooth Welding
Toughness is built into every Guardian Original, but we smooth the roughness out—of the seams, that is. Our Original frame welds are reinforced for extra strength, then polished to perfection, without a single abrasive edge to mar that stunning paint job.
Ultra-rigid Construction
Our Guardian Originals are built with a threadless headset for a much more secure assembly, especially over the long term. The bottom line? That headset—and the handlebars attached to it—won’t ever start to wiggle on your kid.
