High quality, unsafe design with the O-ring

I’ll start by saying that the bike is high quality. It’s light, easy to assemble, etc. My issue - notice in the pictures that there is a rubber ring and thick metal pin that connects the steering column to the bike frame. It detaches very easily and the steering column becomes very unstable when that happens. My son is an excellent bike rider but took a nasty fall down a hill recently as a result. Will try to take to the local bike shop to see if any mods can fix it. Not an issue I’ve seen with any other models; I don’t know why this model is designed this way

purple aqua 20" small one of two, what else!

I purchased two 20" small bikes for my twin grand daughters. Arrived in good condition assembly was straight forward. QR codes helpful. I assembled the other bike first. Both were ordered with the accessory kit; grips, bell, and seat post clamp. The bell for this bike was in the shipping box in a zip lock, not with the other accessories. when I went to install it the foam shim pieces that make it fit tight to the handle bar were missing as well as the QR code paper that should have been with it. Apparently someone had opened the package previously. Poor attention to detail from Guardian. Not a big deal but makes you wonder "what else! Well I found out what else. The other bike , a pink aqua 20" small seemed to be in good shape... Today I was loading the bikes in the back of the Jeep to deliver to the girls for their birthday. I noticed the back wheel had a little side to side movement movement when I lifting it and securing it inside the vehicle. whoever assembled the rear wheel did not properly tighten down the retaining nut for the bearing in the rear hub. If I had not noticed this it would have led to premature failure of the rear hub. A very basic check that should have been completed before shipping. So what else was missed?! Overall experience not good, would recommend , having a bike shop check out after assembly or have them assemble.

So sorry to hear you had issues with the assembly of your bike. We do strive to have all our bikes put together correctly and that everything looks great before leaving the warehouse. Again, our apologies, that you had issues. The Guardian Bike Team

Delivery, QC, and Support issues

Package arrived damaged, but contents seemed ok. Training wheels were missing from delivery, it doesn't look like they would be contained in the same box, but the delivery confirmations claim both were in the delivery. Bike also came with scratches that are inconsistent with the damage to the box (damage to box was over rear wheel and scratches are over front,) and obviously occurred before or as the bike was packaged. I attempted to call the support number twice, and both times I was disconnected a few minutes into my wait on hold without any comment or notice. I recognize the box damage is the logistics company - and for the benefit of the doubt, maybe the training wheels were removed ort fell out as a result, but the scratches getting through QC and the hang ups on the phone are issues owned by Guardian.

Hi Matthew, Thank you so much for the detailed feedback. We are so sorry for the experience! This is certaintly not what we aim for our customers. I took a look into everything-- you were able to speak with my teammate Sam who was able to send a replacement bike, some extra accessories, and of course, the training wheels. :) We hope your little one loves their new bike! Front break doesn't work at all

not very good experiment, not any adjustable feature for different height and age only the saddle is adjustable, overall it doesn't match the high price

Guardian Bikes

Hi Reza, Thank you for the feedback! As far as adjustability goes, we opted to use a threadless headset on our Original model as it's a more rigid and durable than a threaded headset. Since the headset is threadless, the handlebars cannot be raised on our Original models. That said, however, we do sell high rise handlebars that you can easily install on the bike. You can find those under "Spare Parts" under "Accessories" on our website. Hope this helps! Let us know if anything else comes up. Thanks, Kaitlin @ Guardian Bikes

durability of the bikes

I bought two bikes (20in) - both big and small frames 3 weeks ago. My boys are very active and have fallen off their bikes several times already - it seems that the pedals and other parts of the bikes are not very durable and already have large dents/scrapes that are not appropriate for the time we have had the bikes (and for the price we paid for them!). The pedals seem to be shaved off (the plastic is cheap?). I wonder how long they will last.
