There's a very good chance your child will not learn to ride this bike any easier than any other bike. I made a very careful decision to choose this bike, making my decision by reading reviews and watching videos. It's my fault for having high expectations. I should have known better. My 6 1/2 year old grandson is afraid to go fast, so he can never pick up enough speed to balance. We have tried 3 different days with a total of about 2 hours of trying and he has made no progress. He brakes when he starts picking up speed. The brakes work great! The bike fits him perfectly. His feet touch perfectly flat on the ground. How do I get him to get past that fear of going fast and losing control? He has lost interest in even trying, same with all of his other bikes. The whole purchase process, the quick delivery, the easy assembly, and the quality of the bike are all 5 out of 5. I'm glad there's a one year warranty. So we will keep trying.

Hi there. I am wondering if you have tried the balance bike method? If not, below is some information. I think this may help get him the confidence he needs. Over the past several years, balance bikes (bikes without pedals), have become incredibly popular by teaching children to learn to balance first. Following this same approach, we recommend leaving the pedals off our bikes and letting your child learn to balance first by pushing the bike forward with their feet. Once they start to get a hang of balancing, you can install the pedals and let them ride with you by their side. In no time, they will be riding away on their own! Lots of our customers have had success using this approach with their children. I bought the bike as a surprise for my 6yo daughter. We brought the whole box with us camping and when I went to open it we were disappointed to find no helmet! Come to later find out that they oversold the helmet and didn't ship us one. They didn't know when they would be getting more in stock, so they issued a refund two weeks later. Bit of a damper on our trip. But once we got home my daughter had zero issues learning to ride her new bike. The bike itself worked out very well and we go on bike rides daily. Would've been 5 stars had the helmet been in the box or if they would've communicated that sooner.

Bike is great perfect size for my 5yo. The front brake was loose on arrival and needed professional to assist and repair. Assembly was easy and after the brake was repaired everything works good.
