Brakes work really well, but bike arrived damaged

The bike is easy to setup, and the brakes are a big improvement over standard brakes. I was not happy when I pulled the bike out of the box and immediately saw paint chips on the frame, and scratches on the handlebars. Bikes with cosmetic defects shouldn't be shipped.

Missing instructions

Mediocre experience. We got a guardian bike because we heard it was super easy assembly, however I had issues with the front brake. I tried calling the customer service line and no one answered or returned my message, nor did they reply to my email asking for assistance. (For the record I called around 1pm CST on a Monday). Also no instructions were provided to attach the water bottle bracket or the tire pump, or for how to use/set the bike lock. They need to update their instructions and have someone answering their customer service line.

Hi, Thank you for the feedback. It looks like we had a little bit of phone tag. So glad you were able to reach us and were helped. Have a fantastic day. :) Best, Sam

Easy to ride, poor quality

Bike setup was simple and my son was up and riding really quick. Great for learning. That was day one. Day two of riding had chain pops galore. I will be initiating a warranty claim because there is no way a bike designed for kids should have a derailleur/frame that breaks after roughly four uses.

Guardian Bikes

Hi Andrew, Thank you for reaching out. Apologies, for the trouble with the rear derailleur. Please send us an email at We can help adjust the derailleur. We are here for you.

Difficult assembly

It took 1.5 hours to assemble the bike and we're still not sure that it's correct.

Guardian Bikes

Hi Millie, We have easy assembly videos on the website. We also have a QR code on the bike box that pulls up the videos. It should take around 5-10 minutes to finish assembly. Please email us at or give us a call. I can help with assembly and make sure everything looks perfect. Have a wonderful day. Best, Sam

Bike came with a leak in the front tire tube. Called customer service and they agreed to overnight a replacement tube but it did not arrive for two days. So had to go and purchase the new tube locally and replace to have it ready for son's birthday.
