Bike works. It goes well, brakes well. But I think they can invest more on some details. For instance, it has been less than 2 weeks since purchase but I started to notice that chains were making a sound and getting stuck. What happened was the chain guard bended and was getting in the way of the chain (see picture). The chain guard is made of very thin metal, so it bent with light use. We have training wheels, so it is not likely to have fallen hard on a hard surface to cause the bending. Talking about training wheels, they feel cheap and is noisy. I also have training wheels from Trek and these ones feel more flimsy. I’m not sure why, but they also make a lot of noise.

The experience was great all around! This was a birthday gift for our grandson. The thoughtful innovative design - braking system, seat options, fun colors, etc. is ideal for little ones learning to ride a bike. He literally started riding after we presented the bike to him. (Note- it had training wheels but he had a balance bike (not Guardian) that he never liked.) He was very excited about his “big boy” bike! Also, the customer service was outstanding. We had some shipping and delivery issues that was my fault but the service team went above and beyond to make it right. Finally, the assembly videos are really helpful. Thanks to the entire Guardian team!

Having worked in bicycle retail and service for nearly 10 years when I was younger, my expectations were tempered some with these bicycles being ordered online and delivered to your door. However, upon receiving the bicycle, and thinking that I needed to do what I had done while working in a shop, which is basically tune the entire bicycle during assembly, I didn't have to do that with this one. A little brake adjustment was really all it needed, along with a headset adjustment. Everything else was good out of the box. The bicycle looks great. The one we got was a nice neutral color. The geometry is perfect for my daughter who is just over 4 feet tall. As far as teaching my daughter to ride it, the suggestion videos were great. My daughter had a strider bicycle, but never really got the whole balance thing (may have partially been due to the bicycle being too small). Anyway, I was able to teach her how to ride the bicycle in about an hour. Absolutely amazing! The joy we got (both myself and my daughter) has built a great memory for us. Thank you Guardian Bikes. You all are definitely on to something here!

My daughter was struggling with a bigger bicycle with training wheels. We got her the Guardian and she took off in less than 15 minutes. Two weeks later and she is able to ride miles on her Guardian bike! So happy we bought this bike, just wish we did it sooner!

I purchased this bike for my god daughter for her 3rd birthday and she loves it! We adjusted the seat and off she went! I was curious if she would be able to use the hand brake but after a little practice and figuring out what to do, she was a pro!
